This Week In Photo's

Here is our last week in pictures. We had quite the week with Easter, Spring Break, and Joel beginning to eat cereal. Our week started out with an Easter egg hunt at Aunt Cathy's house where the Easter bunny made a surprise visit!

Daddy finding eggs while Joel eats his basket! Joel is teething so he chews on anything he can get his mouth on!After all the fun of Easter, we decided it was time for Joel to start cereal. Joel ate rice cereal for the first time--and was a pro at it! We got more in his mouth than out, so we considered it a success! So far he has loved it and "mmmm's" all the way through it.
On Thursday we went to the Cabin with my family and spent the rest of Spring Break there. We had fun snowmobiling in some of the best spring riding ever, playing Dance Dance Revolution, American Idol and Cross Country Skiing. Mike's very good at playing Dance Dance Revolution-he got an A every time.
Joel playing Dance Dance Revolution with mommy's help!
I worked very hard for this A on Dance Dance Revolution- it's the only one I have ever gotten and worth a picture!

We also played American Idol and Joel joined along. He loves music and loves to sing! The only thing he doesn't like is when his mom and aunt Elise get together and try to sing like Dori talking to the whal's on Finding Nemo. It made him cry and I just don't understand why!

The famous Wilding Easter egg hunt was held at the cabin this year. Joel was the first to find his basket followed by his mom -- for the second year in a row I was the first of my siblings to find thier baskets. Considering that the average time it takes to find my Easter basket is 2-3 hours- either I am getting better of the Easter Bunny is running out of hiding places!

After we came back to Pocatello from the Cabin we thought the adventures were over and it was time to have life go back to the normal routine. Little did we know the adventures continued! We were unpacking our stuff and found out that we had some stuff stolen from my car while we were gone! I will have to say that the theives will be very disappointed. They got less than a dollar in change and some burnt CD's- mostly musicals and church CD's my favorite was already in the stereo and you can't eject the CD without starting the car!

We hope that this week will be much less stressful and exciting! Except we are moving to Washington for the summer in 3 weeks! So I guess the fun continues!

Another trip for pictures and...nothing!

We took Joel once again to attempt a picture and once again we came home with nothing but a crying fussy baby! So I got out the camera again in an attempt to get my own pictures. This is what we came up with. I played on the computer, antiqued the picture and then added the blue into it. It was a lot of fun to do and not so difficult. I may just make a habit of this. I need to get some pictures that I like in color, but I have been having fun with theblack and white pictures. I think I may just use these as his 3 month pictures because next week he will be 4 months! Where did my little baby go??? He is growing up so fast!

I tried to take Joel to get his 3 month pictures today. We rescheduled for tommorrow. Joel is generally a really smiley baby, but today he was soooo grumpy and just cried the entire time! We rescheduled and we'll see if we can get some better pictures later. So when Joel woke up today in smiles (and only in his diaper, because I was trying to save the outfit for next time!) we decided to do our own photo shoot. This is what we ended up with after I played with it for a while on the computer. I thought they turned out pretty cute, but I am the biased mom!!!

Finally Something to Write About

Our life has been pretty boring with nothing to really write about. That changed this weekend (finally)! My brother Jason and sister Elise were in the School District Musical. They did "Bye, Bye Birdie." And they did a really good job! Here are some pictures. Jason was the mayor and had the craziest hairdo I have ever seen! Mom took Joel back there to say Hi during the play and Joel took one look at Jason and started to cry! (I think I would have too!)

This picture is of Jason and Elise in their costumes. Elise was sad girl #2 and had a dance she did with 2 other people. Isn't she cute? It was a really fun play to watch, and really funny.
Vroom, vroom ...We also have a favorite toy at our house. Joel is taking after his daddy (watch out!). He loves his car bouncer that we have and he plays in it all the time. I thought this picture was too cute not to share!
Well, there's more to come. That was just the tip of the iceberg! We went to Idaho Falls this weekend and Joel visited his cousin Brooklyn. She just got a pair of boxing gloves. Joel tried them on and they just didn't fit! It was so funny trying to fit these boxing gloves on! They didn't go past his fingers. What can we say ... He's just a big boy!

Joel's First Snowmobile Ride

Grandpa insists on 3 things. He gets to give the first snowmobile ride, the first drum set, and the first gun - all by age 2. I am okay with all of this as long as the drums and the gun stay at grandpa's house! Well, Joel got his first snowmobile ride this weekend with grandpa. He loved it-he fell asleep within the first 10 feet. This is a true sign that he will be a great snowmobiler when he is a little older! He looked so cute in his snowsuit! Does any one remember the little brother on "The Christmas Story"? He reminded me of him because his arms stuck straight out and he couldn't move!
