Kids pictures

I am redoing my picture wall for probably the 4th time (darn you pinterest with all your wonderful ideas!). So we went out to the ranch and took pictures of the boys and then I had some of Lilah that fit right in. So I thought I would share. And when I get done with my wall and actually get them hung up I'll share that too! Mike had shoulder surgery a few weeks ago so I may have to wait a little while until he can help me get them on the wall above the stairs. But here are the ones I chose to use.

Its so fun to see all my kids interact with each other and how much they really do love each other through all the screaming and fighting and how much Joel and Conner love their sister.

Lilah's Blessing

Lilah had a wonderful blessing from her daddy on the first Sunday in November. It was a wonderful day. I always have such a great appreciation for Mike and the priesthood that he holds. Lilah was blessed to be healthy, to have a strong testimony of the gospel, to have a rosy disposition, and to find a righteous young man to marry in the temple. I love seeing a glimpse into the wonderful lives my children will lead and its fun to remember the things said as they have begun to develop into the people they are becoming.
This is Lilah with four of her grandmas. She is a very lucky girl to have 6 wonderful grandmas in her life.
These are a few pictures of Lilah in her blessing dress.

Halloween

I'm playing catch up! If anyone has any ideas on how to stay on top of everything with three kids let me know ;)! Halloween was a lot of fun this year. Joel was so excited to get all that candy and trick or treated like a pro!
We carved pumpkins with my mom and dad and sister and brother and sister in law. It was a lot of fun and very messy! Here is Mike and Joels finished pumpkin.
Joel spent forever, after he was done helping Mike, carving (or mutilating) his own pumpkin all by himself. It was so cute to watch him.

Our attempt at a family picture!
This is how Conner spent the evening... being almost 2!

On Halloween the boys were dragons and Lilah was a princess. I made their costumes and it was fun to see them actually turn out! We braved the cold and went and got lots of candy! Conner didn't like it at first but about 1/2 way through got the hang of it.
I found matching skeleton PJ's for the three of them that glow in the dark. The boys thought they were the coolest!
 Here is our princess
 Our dragons and princess!
Hope everyone had a happy Halloween!

Joel and His First Primary Program

I love Joel and his little personality. It makes for some entertaining and sometimes slightly embarrassing moments. This last Sunday was Joel's first primary program and we got the part he was supposed to say a couple weeks ago. Joel's part was "Jesus Christ created the land."
We went and practiced it and even made a Lego microphone to practice talking in. Well, I think we practiced it a little too soon and Joel got a little bored with it. He thought he needed to add some things to it. It started out with "Jesus Christ created the land for diggers." We really did work on saying the right thing but it soon evolved into "Jesus Christ created the land for tower cranes." (tower cranes are the great big cranes used to build skyscrapers). So I though we had our part down the right way. At the practice he said it the right way.
So we get to his part in the program during sacrament meeting (there were 103 kids participating in our ward) and sure enough, he gets up there as proud as can be with a big smile on his face and says "Jesus Christ created the land for tower cranes."  I don't know how many people even caught what he said because he said it so fluently --- like he had been practicing it for years. But, I sure heard what he said! And yes, it was kinda funny and our bench was shaking just a little as we were all laughing! Can't wait to see what we add in next year!

Lilah at 4 weeks + the outtakes!

Mike was home on Sunday and so we attempted to take the ever impossible sibling pictures. I think they are called impossible for a reason! The outtakes were far more funny than the real pictures. So, here are some of the outtakes that show the fun of sibling pictures!
Joel picking his nose
 Dog Pile!
Lilah's face wondering who these hooligans are!
 This girl can spit!
 "Hi Mom -- I'm here!"
Now for the real pictures! We did manage to get one or two that turned out good enough! We think Lilah is just the cutest thing ever and the boys are enjoying giving her hugs and kisses. Joel lays down and talks to her about all the things that he is doing and Conner will give her kisses when she is crying. It's nice to know that they may just all be friends at some point!

Little Lilah

So we have attempted some newborn pictures-- and I think we will be attempting again - but I thought we would share some of the pictures Joel and I took of his new little sister while Conner was asleep (for some of it!). I learned very quickly that I think I will wait for Mike to be home to help wrangle certain children from "helping" -- but I think some of them turned out pretty cute!

Lilah Susanne Bailey

Last Friday we welcomed our little girl into the world. Lilah Susanne Bailey was born last Friday on September 9th. She weighed 7 lbs  10 oz and was 2i0 inches long. She is such a sweet and even tempered little girl - at least so far! Her delivery was my easiest so far. We scheduled to be induced and went in at 5:00 am. Everything went really fast and we had at 1:18pm. We were a little amazed it went so fast because that is not our normal. I hope you are all ready for some pictures because we have a lot of them!
These are Lilah's first pictures with all her stats shown

First pictures with mom and dad

First pictures with Joel and Conner. They love their little sister and give her kisses all the time!

 Just a cute picture
 First family picture
Lilah ready to go home. Joel picked out her very cute outfit and was very proud that we used his outfit for her special day.

Everything has been really good since we have been home. Lilah's billiruben levels were pretty high so we have had her on a billi blanket since Sunday. I am excited to have her off of that because we are stuck to a cord and have to pretty much stay in one place. I am so glad Mike was able to take the whole week off of work. We have had some fun family times and the boys have become daddy's boys this week. It's been fun to see them all interact together. We love our new addition to our family and it will be fun to see her grow!

Our Last Summer Fling!

I will start our Labor Day weekend adventures by letting everyone know that 4- wheeling does not put you into labor. I promise -- I tried!

Actually Mike got to ride his motorcycle while I took Conner on a very slow, not too bumpy 4 wheeler ride on Saturday and Joel got to stay with Grandma and watch lots of TV because he was sick all during the night. It was very nice of Grandma and it let me get out of the house are relieve some of this cabin fever I am already feeling!

Then on Monday Mike got to float down the Hoback portion of the Snake River. It is quite the ride and is a lot of fun. The boys and I followed along with the car and took pictures of some of the fun rapids.

Here is the boys getting ready to watch everyone launch off. They needed to have a fun little ride too!

Say Bye everyone!
Then the fun begins!!! These pictures were taken on the Kahuna rapid. (Normally one of the biggest on this float!)

Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend! I know we did and it was so nice to get out of the house for a little adventure before baby Lilah joins our family (this Friday :) -- watch for pictures coming soon!!!!)
