A Month in Photo's

Instead of the week in photo's in the Sunday paper, we thought we would do a month in photo's since I think it has been that long since I posted. The first thing that happened was that Mike walked for graduation! Then of course- in true Bailey fashion - we had a party for family and friends the next week! Then the week after that on Memorial Day weekend we went up by Birch Creek and went four-wheeling and went on a crazy hike. It was all shale and just short of vertical - at least that what it seemed like! We stuck Joel in the carrier and took him right on up with us. It took over an hour to get up and it took dad just over 6 minutes to get down, with Joel. I'm glad I didn't pay too much attention!
This is what we hiked up to. There is an old Indian Burial ground here with reconstructed ladders. The only thing is once you got up to it, you had to rock climb the rest of the way. Jason was the only one brave enough to climb up there, but the ladders weren't in any type of shape to go on!
Here is Joel and Dad starting the climb up the mountain.
This was Joel and Elise after our four wheeler ride. Joel loves the four wheeler! It is his favorite thing in the world!

Just today, Matt needed Joel as a poster child for something for his business class so we got the camera out and played around. Aren't these little boots just the cutest thing!

Here is Joel with uncle Matt's cowboy hat! He didn't want to keep his hat on and his boots were falling off so he looks taller than he is!

I also got a chance to play with my external flash for the camera and liked the way this picture turned out- so I thought I would share!

And, finally this is the way we cool off in the summer!

The Grand Tour!

Well here it is! The grand tour of our new house. Between moving in, unpacking (a work still in progress) and finishing the basement (hopefully in the next three weeks! yikes!) and not having the internet at our house yet-- I haven't been able to upload pictures and give everyone the grand tour yet! So here it is!

This is the front of our house -- yes the trim is really that redish pink! It's growing on me though. We are going to add in a lot of color around the flower beds to try and tone down the contrast of the red and grey.
These pictures are in order of where I took them! Basically from right to left! This is the master bathroom!

Master Bedroom
Kitchen and Dining Room

Living room
Very messy Laundrey Room (we are still looking for a dryer!)

Joel's bathroom! The lucky duck gets his own bathroom! I have to share ;)!

This is the spare room or as Mike likes to call it the Spar oom!
This is Joel's room
And this is our current project. We are trying to finish the basement in like 3 weeks! So here is the run down of what each room will be (We should be ready to start sheetrock by the end of this week -- we've only been working on it for 1 week-- Thanks to everyone who has helped it go so fast!!!)
This is going to be the big family room where we will put the TV and computer!

This is the largest room with a door in the house -- the storage room

This is my favorite room so far. We are going to put a little door in it from the family room and put a platform on the back wall and make a ladder going up and a slide going down! It will also hold toys and be a very fun little toy room!

This is room #1 in the basement.
And room #2
And last but not least -- the downstairs bathroom
So that is the grand tour. I'll post up pictures as I get it decorated, but it has been a very fun house to live in so far with a lot of potential. I am excited to get started (we just have to finish the basement first!)!
