Anyone need snow removal?

I got just the thing for you! 

Joel got a new  Joel size snow shovel for Christmas this year - and he's gotten to use it - a lot! He is one of my best snow shovelers! He loves to go out and play with it!

While Joel shovels - Conner and I stay inside and watch from the window! Although Conner puts up a lot of complaints that mom won't let him outside to play too!

Also - I found picture of Conner's birthday cake that  I forgot until I downloaded these pictures. I had a lot of fun making it and thought it turned out really cute! It's a monster cake for our Conster Monster!

A funny Joel moment

So, we have been trying to potty train (for like the last month 1/2) and I decided that it is the most miserable thing in the whole world to do. So we have a bribery  incentive for Joel to sit on the potty. We have a sticker chart that when he tells mom or dad he needs to go potty and goes he gets a sticker that goes towards going to Leo's Place (a really fun pizza place with tons of toys) with a friend. So we were reminding him about that again. And Joel told me that he didn't want to go. I said that that was just fine but Mom, and Dad, and Conner were all going to go to the pizza place and Joel could just stay at home.

He looked at me and in his most calm normal voice said to me "That's fine. Just leave the car."

 Seriously kid -- how in the world do you just keep a calm normal voice to that one? Well, we didn't. Mike and I just burst out laughing! I don't know what he was planning on doing with the car but I think we are going to take my Sister-in-laws advice and always now where the car keys are!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Conner!

Last week on the 28th Conner turned 1 years old. I decided next year we are celebrating his birthday on his 1/2 birthday because things are just so crazy right around and after Christmas so we are a little late in celebrating. We did a cake smash today with a little cake and it was a lot of fun! Conner wouldn't get into the cake until after he was given a fork! For his birthday Conner got to graduate to a big car seat! Yipee!!!

 Here are a couple facts about Conner:

Conner weighs 20lbs 4 oz! (there was a lot of rejoicing when we found out Conner had actually made it to 20 lbs -- he doesn't like to eat very much) that puts him at the 15%.

Conner is in the 71st% in height

Conner loves playing with his big brother, balls, his ball pit, his dog and anything you can push around.

Conner can walk across the room.

Conner loves playing pat-a-cake.

Conner's favorite food is bananas and ice cream.

Conner's favorite books are any touch and feel books.

Conner loves bath time.

Conner has 8 teeth.

Conner loves to push buttons.

Conner is a very happy (most of the time!) little boy!
