Out of the Mouth of Babes

We have been working with Joel on different words and sounds. This video is just a couple of them and as you can note- he has been spending a lot of time with his dad! Snowmobiles, trucks, Beamer, Porsche, ect.... Oh, and another note, Mom says AHHHH when we brush Joel's teeth- that's where he gets it (most of the time ;)! We will have to post another with his other words, but I could only remember so many!

Those that voted for a BOY ! Yes, you read me right! Out of our family Mikey was the only right one! We are very excited to have a little boy and even managed to get in the same season as Joel. Everything looks great with the baby and his little hands are the cutest things. He has all his pieces and parts there and looking good. Just what we wanted to hear!

Is it a boy, or is it a girl?

Well, we have one (very long:)) week until we have the ultrasound that will tell us if this baby is a boy or a girl. Our family have put up votes for a milkshake (still don't know who gets to buy them for those that are right!!!) So, for something fun to do, you can all join along. I set up a poll so you can all guess too! Is it a boy? or is it a girl? Tune in next week to find out!

A Sneak Peek in Joel's Room

Along with a new house- comes the fun part- DECORATING! I love doing it, but havent' had a chance to do a ton. I have finally gotten around to Joel's room. Here is a sneak peak because it's not done yet. The theme is Dr. Suess.

A cute shelf and growth chart
This is my favorite part. Mike and I and my brother-in-law built these shelves. Instead of bookshelves I saw this idea to hang shelves and put books on them. I liked it and did it. And, yes they are orange- and I like them!

Here they are put together, just pretend the bottom on is up- it needed to be secured to the wall better I guess! I also got him a cute little chair to go in the reading corner! Can't have too much emphasis on books in my opinion!!! There will also be a vinyl quote on the wall that says "The more that you read, the more you will know, the more you will know, the more places you'll go" by Dr. Seuss - of course!
