Joel's Three - Can It Be?

Happy happy birthday to my big 3 year old today!!!! I can't believe Joel is already three! Where has the time gone? (Well, some days I know right where it went, but others just fly by!)

A few facts about Joel:
He LOVES (still an understatement) cars, trucks, four wheelers, snowmobiles (he already wants one for Christmas-- that's the last time I send Mike and Joel out shopping! They ended up at a snowmobile store and Joel saw a little tiny snowmobile and fell in love!) diggers, dump trucks, motorcycles - basically anything with an engine!

He is very smart-- sometimes to smart for his mom!

He loves playing with his brother and friends

He is the best snuggler!

His favorite shows are Bob the Builder, the Detonators, and Dirty Jobs (he watches the last two with his dad!)

He loves music and sings happy birthday so cute!

He loves to sleep anywhere, but in his own bed! (tents, forts, the floor ect.)

His favorite foods are corndogs, chicken nuggets, speghetti, ice cream, and cake!

Happy 3rd Birthday Joel!

The Love of Brothers

I think I took one of my favorite photo's today. I was on the computer and looked over and Conner was sitting in Joel's Tonka truck! He had climbed in all by himself! It was super cute so I got out the camera. We got some adorable pictures

Joel noticed what we were doing and he wanted his picture too. So, of course I will never say no to that and Joel and Conner started playing together.
Joel started pushing Conner around in the Tonka Truck- they were laughing and having so much fun. Then, this happened...
This is my favorite picture. I think the look on Joel's face is hilarious. So mischievous. Conner's is just as it should be -- help me mom!!!--
and yes, Conner did get dumped out of the dump truck right after this picture was taken.
Instead of taking a picture with Conner screaming on the floor- I gave him hugs and loves instead so I don't have a picture of the aftermath.
Hope you enjoy this picture as much as I did!.

New Family Pictures

A couple weeks ago my cousin volunteered his wife to practice taking pictures for us. So, I took her up on it, and I am so glad that I did because they  turned out sooooo cute! I love the pictures she got of our family and especially of the boys! So THANK YOU Julie! We love them!

The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree!

If you ask me Joel has a lot of his Grandpa Wilding in him. To Joel -- what is better than digging in the dirt? Digging in the snow of course!!! He has been asking me for the last month when the snow is going to come so that he could make holes in the snow with his digger (he calls every "project" he does his "job", yes thank you bob the builder!). Well, his dream came true the other day. In typical Idaho weather 60 one day -- 3 inches of snow the next! Joel got up that morning and as he has for the past month came and told me "Mom, I'm checking the snow -- be right back." He was so excited to see it snowing and not very happy with his mom who made him eat breakfast and get dressed BEFORE he went out in the snow. Joel has also learned that sandals with socks don't work in the snow, and that mittens really are a good thing (amazing how mom is always right ;) !)

As for the next pictuere, the title still applies sometimes!!! On Thursdays, Joel has a play swap where he goes to a friends house one week and the next week Joel's friend comes to our house. We have them play and do different activities for a couple of hours. This cute turkey is what Joel made at his friends house this week. Isn't it cute! Joel was so proud of it - he almost didn't eat it!!!

What cute turkeys huh?!

DIGGERS!!!

For most little (and big) boys riding in a digger is a dream come true. Joel (although he doesn't know it yet!) was no exception. He got the opportunity to ride in a digger last week. Mike's brother and his family dug up their entire yard so they could smooth it all out and replant. They hired someone to bring a digger in and he was kind enough to let the kids go in the digger. Joel was very timid at first but got on and will not talk of anything else. He also got to ride in a skid steer with his dad and uncle Jeff. He had so much fun! Now we will just have to tell him Grandpa's getting a skid steer too.

Ahhh, the dreams of a little boy!

Halloween 2010

Here are a few pictures from our fun day before Halloween night and some pictures from carving our pumpkins. Joel as a monkey and Conner was a giraffe. We got to feed the missionaries on Saturday night so we make a ton of soup and cinnamon rolls and had our families and friends stop by for dinner in between trick or treating. Conner got to go on top of daddy's shoulders and Joel got to say trick-or-treat around the neighborhood and has been enjoying his candy since!

 Our lovely pumpkin art work!
This is one of those hidden picture shots. Where in the leaves is Conner!
A quick shoot at grandma and grandpa playing in the leaves!
Conner (whom we like to call Toothless right now because of his cute toothless grin!)
 Joel
On our way to trick or treat!
Joe land Brooklyn showing us their stash of candy after a jaunt around the neighborhood!
