Happy Happy Birthday - Joel's 6 Month Birthday

My little boy is just getting soooo big! Yesterday was Joel's 6 month birthday, so we celebrated by making him 1/2 a cake for his 1/2 birthday and letting him eat a piece of the unfrosted stuff. It was hilarious as I am sure you could imagine! Here are the pictures to prove it!

Finally Here!

Well we made it here to Washington in one piece after a 12 hour drive. We found out it takes a lot longer driving with a baby. We are staying out in the middle of nowhere right next to the river. When we step out the back door this is what we get to look at.


It's absolutely beautiful, and I am very glad that Joel isn't walking yet. I would be a nervous wreck! Mike is having a good time at work and enjoying it. Joel and I are enjoying the nice weather and learning about grass. He doesn't quite know what to do with it, so he gives a lot of funny facial expressions when he is touching it.

Joel also has two new friends. This is Joel and Alli. They love each other and play all the time. We are renting from a very nice lady who rents out her house by rooms so we have roommates. This is one of our roommates dogs. He licks Joels feet and toes and Joel just laughs. It's really cute!

So Long, Fair Well, Auf Wiedersein, Good Bye

Well Tommorrow we leave for Washington for the summer. Mike has an intership at the Hanford site so it's off on another adventure! And I won our bet-- all of our things for the summer DO fit in the Suburu and the Honda with help from a car top carrier! I don't know what our internet connections will be like in the place that we are staying, so you may not hear from me for a while. However, I have cute pictures that will be posted at a later date... We had a run in with Joel, a glass of apple juice and the laptop... needless to say we had to order a new keyboard since a few of the keys stuck. It's here now just in time to leave! I hope everyone has a lovely summer and until i can post again.. see ya!

Salt Lake City

This week Joel, my mom and grandma's decided it was time to go wear it was a tad warmer. We went down to Salt Lake City and tried to enjoyed the sun and snow! We went to temple square and saw the beautiful flowers and went to the Lion House to eat- yum,yum! I am taking a photography class on line and the first challenge we had was to work with apperture on the camera so this is a picture I took messing around with it. It also shows how pretty the flowers were at temple square.

I also took this picture of Joel. I loved the inquisitive look on his face as well as the drool running down his chin. This is a pretty common expression on his face. He's just so cute!
