Angie at 15.5 weeks

Alright -- there is a reason that you only see pictures of Mike and Joel on this blog-- it's because I have the camera! So at the request of some (Nickie this one is for you!) I relinquished the camera to Mike (it just may be the last time as well!) and had him take a picture of my bump, so I could start documenting this pregnancy and laughing later at how big I get! This is me at almost 16 weeks. I feel like I look like I just gained 10lbs around my midsection rather than a baby bump but it's starting to look like I'm pregnant and not just gaining weight!

Other crazy pregnancy things-- this pregnancy is soooo different from Joel it's almost funny. A few similarities and comparisons:
Sickness : Joel = NONE Baby = more than none for sure (at nights the first 2 months)

Baby Bump: Joel = very fast I was in maternity clothes at 2 months Baby = Still can wear
regular clothes
Tired: Joel = all the time Baby = all the time (now I just have a toddler to catch!)

Dreams : With both I have very vivid dreams where I can remember them well, and everything is plausable just not probable. I will not go cliff diving with a snowmobile helmet on EVER! But it is something you could do - for example!

Carrying Baby: Joel = way low ! I could eat a full meal until 8.5 months! Baby: Higher - I can't eat a full meal! It makes me very mad sometimes because my tastebuds want it and my tummy doesn't!

So that's just a few similarities and differences- I'm sure the list will continue to grow with time! So that's a little update on how baby #2 pregancy is going! It is so funny how two pregancies can be so different! Well, Joel is up for the day -- so time to go give lots of loves and kisses!

Daddy's Shoes

This is my new favorite picture of Joel. This is what Joel's personality is like-- that you don't get to see in pictures very much because I try to get him cute and smiling! Mike had to get a pair of work boots for work this week, so after a long debate the new shoes finally made their destination home. After daddy tried them on, it was Joel's turn. Mike put the boots on Joel and he thought that was the coolest thing to be just like daddy! He gave us the grin of the century and its becoming my favoite picture!

We also went to Great-Grandma's house to play in the water. She tells us when she is going to irrigate and we get to bring the kids over to play in the water. Joel was a little nervous at first- but then took to the water like a pro! He loved to splash and run through the water! He got to play with is second cousin Macey. Joel was doing the worm in the water as well as a little boy can, and Macey would sit thier and clap- cheering him on. They did it over and over. It made a very funny show!
This picture is proof! When Joel grows up- it was Aunt Elise that did all the mean things to him and tortured him--- not his mom or dad!!! All Elise's fault!

4th Of July 2009

I think that the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. I love the feeling of patriotism and togetherness that I always feel on the 4th. It makes me proud to live in this country, to know that I am free to make choices, and to raise a family and be able to teach righteous principles to my children. We had a great 4th of July. Mike's mom and dad surpised us my coming down for the weekend, so we were able to spend some time with them. During the morning we had a neighborhood breakfast and program at the church. We got there on time- which means we were early for mormon time lol! And Mike got to help cook breakfast. I would say he did a very good job! Then we had a program with some musical numbers and talks and a flag raising ceremony.

And I got proof that Joel and his cousin CAN be nice to each other and really do like each other!

After breakfast I went to help sell fireworks at the firework stand my family is helping to man, and Joel and daddy got to play. In the afternoon - my favorite time of the day!- naps for all! The we headed out to our super secret favorite spot to watch the fireworks ( notice the outback steakhouse sign!) and had a bbq with Mike's family and watched the firework show!

I LOVE the Idaho Falls fireworks - claimed to be the best west of the Mississippi. So if you missed them and want to see most of the show- I have about 300 pictures of fireworks from 1/2 an hour of the show. You can see most of the show-- but here are just a few so enjoy!

And Happy 4th of July!
