Love Languages

On all those husband and wife tapes you learn about different kinds of love languages. There is verbal, written, touch, and doing things. My husband is a doer. And this time he out did himself :)! He made me my bookshelf with some help from his brother and my dad. Mike built it and made it work, I designed and stained it, and the neighbors helped move it in! So this is my new addition to my living room and it fits beautifully! (as it should-- we got a tape measure and figured out the size to fit the wall!)
And my first set of decorations!
Thanks to everyone that helped and a special thanks to my honey for putting up with my crazy ideas!!! See - they do work!
Also, if you want to see what I've been doing the last couple weeks go check out my photography blog for some new pictures. More will be added this week! I've had a lot of fun taking pictures of some friends and family! Now I've just got to wait for the rain to stop so I can get some of my boys with the falling leaves!

The Great Pumpkin Patch

For Family Night on Monday we went with our cousins to the pumpkin patch here in town. They have a barn that is decorated cute with pumpkins all over. They also have a train ride for the little kids. We had a blast and Joel was in heaven withe pumkins and a train ride all in one day!
Picking out our pumpkins

Giving Brother hugs in the car. They even let us put the little kids in the fire truck for some pictures!
While we were waiting for the train I got to practice taking silhouette pictures with Joel and Brooklyn. It was fun to have them actually turn out! I'm sure people were laughing at me, because I was laying on the floor trying to get these shots!
Then Joel and Brooklyn and Conner and Collin got to play on the train and Joel and Brooklyn went on a train ride!

Now we are just going to have to convince Joel that we can use a "knarf" aka knife on his pumpkin-- that could go really good or really bad -- we will have to see!

Camping Trip to Anderson Ranch Resevoir

Camping -- yes, you read that right - and no this is actually not a catch up post. We went camping in October in Idaho! Crazy -- yes- I know, but it was also a lot of fun. We went to go wakeboarding, but our nice weather up to that point decided to leave and let October come in in full force. We went wakeboarding one evening and then the rest of the time enjoyed the beautiful scenery around us, drove through a couple of ghost towns and drove down a SCARY cliff on one side of you drive!
I got to play around with my camera in the car-- for the most part it was a nice drive-- Joel slept, Conner slept, Mike didn't :)!

Conner's first 4 wheeler ride with Dad -- he loved it!

Pretty scenery! And Joel playing on the beach with Aunt Elise! We brought shovels and his digger and he loved playing with the sand and rocks! Its a dream place for a two year old!

And an especially big thanks to Katie's parents who have a cabin there so we didn't freeze on our last night there! Also thanks to mom and dad for letting us come!
