A Week In Review!

Here is our week in review - and what a week it was! It's time to stop and catch my breath. It was a crazy week but we sure did have a lot of fun. One of our favorite resturants here is Leo's Place. This didn't become our favorite until recently -- but Joel loves the toys and when you are in freezing cold Idaho, any place to play inside is a welcome relief. We also love thier pizza!

As you can tell from the silly faces Joel is making! Mmm Mmm! Joel runs from the toys to his pizza almost faster than light ;) It gets really fun trying to keep up with him as he is running all over the place. We like the semi-quiet moments when he is eating!

And down the slide we go!

I think this is going to be one of my favorite pictures this year! I love the look on Joel's face! I think Mike likes going here as much as Joel because he climbs on the toys too! He comes out with as big a smile as Joel does most times.

All that was Monday, then on Teusday and Wednesday Joel, Conner, and I accompanied Grandma to Utah to go to some "girlie" stores as Joel calls them (thanks Uncle Jason for that one!) to shop for some wedding things. Along with stopping at Tai Pan and Hobby Lobby, staying at the "congo" aka condo, we went to free day at Hogle Zoo. This was Conner's first time at the zoo !

We saw some crazy things like these turkeys

A peacock

Some wallabies (I think thats what they were!)

A tiger!

And some giraffe's.

All the while, Conner spent most of the day like this- sleeping! But just look at those cheeks! It's funny because we got more than one comment on them while we were at the zoo!
When we came home Wednesday evening I got a very nice suprise. My dear sweet Mikey did the rest of the painting in the basement! And did a beautiful job of it! We are very close to getting the basement done, we just have trim and doors and carpet left to do! We painted the main room downstairs with two tones of paint and will put a chair rail inbetween them. He also did the dishes and folded the Mount Everest pile of clothes that had piled up (once again- I will admit that I HATE folding and putting away clothes- so they have a tendancy of piling up- I'm kinda working on that- We have Laundry Folding Parties every couple of weeks!)

Then, on Friday we had our ward adult party. It was a lot of fun to leave the kids behind and get to know some of the other people in our ward! Then Saturday we went to the cabin and went snowmobiling and enjoyed the beautiful scenery! Here is Joel with his helmet on. It was so heavy on his head that every time we went over a bump his head would plop forward. It was kinda funny!

Conner also had an important rite of passage. He went on his first snowmoblie ride! It is a rule that grandpa gets to give the first ride, and Conner was smiling as soon as he got on! Glad to know where his priorities are going to be!

It was a crazy week and it was fun. Now, Joel wants to push buttons! He likes to contribute too!

I Love Tai Pan! It is very dangerous that it is only like 10 min. from my house. Those cheeks on that little boy just make my day!
